 Waterford Childcare Committee Consultation Forum Report 2016

The Consultation Forum 2016 entitled  “Early Childhood Care & Education: The Challenges and Opportunities in Moving from Policy to Practice” was held in March in Waterford.

The Forum 2016 provided an opportunity for all interested parties to attend and receive an overview and update of the policy developments announced by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs following the 2016 Budget.  The participants included service providers, childminders, parents, early childhood care and education practitioners, managers and board of management members, statutory, community and voluntary organisations.

The report will be used to inform local and national planning, policy and decision making.  The Report has been sent to Dr. Katherine Zappone, Minister for Children and Youth Affairs and has been widely disseminated to all key local and national stakeholders.
